I have been a fan of classic shoes for over a decade. While I have multiple pairs from the more popular English shoemakers(Gaziano & Girling, Edward Green) I wanted to try something outside the box. Acme seemed to be at the pinnacle of Asian shoemakers and I could not be happier. Every part of the shoe being handmade is new for me and it adds the next level of elegance over Goodyear welted shoed. The uppers are stitched so close to the soles that you can barely see the stitch itself and the fudging is perfect. Purchasing the Byron in Gold Museum was my upgrade to a 10 year old pair of Allen Edmonds Strands and its not even a comparison. I highly recommend Acme to anyone looking for value in a high form of footwear. While the initial price seems steep, the alternatives(Gaziano Optimum line for example $5000) are much higher.
Also Tim has been great to talk to and helped me dial in my size which is different from what I have always worn and fits better than any of my other shoes.
