This was my first MTO with Acme shoemaker . process was very smooth. worked with Tim to get sizing right( still wearing the trial shoes they sent me – very well made cemented trail shoes!). went with Camel leather ( fantastic grain/texture), with 360 Norwegian construction and double leather sole .

Honestly, these shoes totally changed my perception of Chinese craftsmanship. The quality easily matches, and even surpasses, pairs I’ve gotten from European and Japanese shoemakers over the years. Every single detail is crafted to true bespoke standards, and that really blows me away.

These boots are extremely well made and one of the best I’ve ever received. The pictures don’t exactly show the quality that these Chelsea boots give. I am a lifetime customer for sure!

The uppers are stitched so close to the soles that you can barely see the stitch itself and the fudging is perfect.

This was my second MTO form acme .Started the MTO process on dec 2,2025, these were 360 Norwegian construction, with double leather sole . color dark cognac patina . arrived on Feb 19 ,2026 as promised . everything about the shoe has been perfect. the workmanship in second to none( would put these against any of my other MTO shoes for European makers. worked with Tim and communication was constant and timely .. customer for life !

My experience with ACME Shoemaker has been excellent from start to finish. For this commission, I chose a split-toe derby in dark brown Hass hatch-grain leather, built on a slightly fuller, more casual-looking last. The result is exactly what I wanted—a beautifully crafted bespoke shoe with a relaxed character that is extremely versatile and easy to wear.
